Preserving Western Heritage in Parker County since 1947!

About

An idea conceived by Rancher J.Y. Crum, supported by manufacturer Roger Williams and promptly endorsed by eleven other ranchers and businessmen of Parker County brought into being the birth of the Parker County Sheriff’s Posse, an organization typically Texan that could, would, and has to this day preserved the southern flavored Western traditions of 140 year old Parker County.

2024 Ranch Rodeo & Dance

This year is our 20th Annual PCSP Ranch Rodeo, which will be held September 13-14, 2024. Each rodeo event simulates daily chores, performed by working cowboys, long before pickups and 4-wheelers were engineered. These techniques are still used today by the Texas Cowboy. Coupled with these working-cowboy events, the Chuckwagon, invented by our own native Charles Goodnight, plays a spectacular role as 10 to 15 “Cookies” from counties near and far, cook from their wagons and vie for 5 different titles to include, Most Authentic Chuckwagon, Best Meat and…Best Peach Cobbler! Each year, the crowds line up early for the chance to eat these authentic cowboy recipes.
